Stunningly beautiful ring with a problem |

This ring is stunningly beautiful - but it has one weakness: the zircon stone.
Because tungsten is such a hard metal, the stone cannot be set like it would be in other rings (i.e. under tension). Instead, it sits in a stainless steel setting which is glued into the hole in the ring. If the ring is exposed e.g. to extreme heat or cold, the ring expands and shrinks and the stone can get lost.
In our case, both zircon stones of the original as well as of a replacement ring got lost within not even three months of use, respectively, while not exposing the ring to anything else than normal daily life situations. This was specifically disappointing as we bought the ring as a wedding ring.
Tungsten Affinity says this does usually not happen, and sent us a third ring (without stone) at no cost for us.
Customer service is really good, but we weren't happy with this particular ring.
